On Monday in social studies, students had the opportunity to make connections with the content from this unit to life today. Students read an article about the different species on Earth today and responded to a quick-write question asking them to relate what they have learned about different species to this article. In addition, students watched a video on early humans.
On Tuesday, we began to fill out our guided note packets on Unit 5. Students filled in key terms and ideas relating to this unit in their note packets. As a class, we discussed the history of life on Earth, including how the extinction of dinosaurs paved the way for humans to evolve.
Next week, we will continue to discuss different species of animals on Earth.
